Play smart, stay in control

Responsible Gaming at jlvv — tools and guidance for Filipino players

Gaming at jlvv is meant to be something you enjoy on your own terms. Whether you play Tongits on a weekday evening, bet on PBA games during the conference season or spin slots for a bit of fun on weekends — the experience should stay in that lane: entertainment, not stress.

jlvv takes responsible gaming seriously because real money is involved and because we genuinely care about the people who use the platform. This page explains the tools built into every jlvv account, the warning signs worth knowing and how to get help if you or someone close to you needs it. None of this is hidden behind multiple menu layers — it is here, plain and straightforward.

Account tools

Six responsible gaming tools available in your jlvv account

These tools are available to every registered jlvv player at no cost and without needing to contact support first. You will find them in the responsible gaming section of your account settings. Activating any of these tools takes effect immediately for restrictions — increases to limits require a short cooling-off period to take effect.

Deposit limits

Set a maximum amount you can deposit into your jlvv account per day, per week or per month. Once a deposit limit is active, jlvv will not allow deposits above that threshold during the relevant period. You can set separate limits for each timeframe — for example, a daily limit of ₱500 and a monthly ceiling of ₱5,000.

Takes effect immediately. Increases apply after 48 hours.

Session time limits

Set a maximum duration for a single gaming session. When you reach the time limit, jlvv will display a prompt. You can choose to end the session or, after acknowledging the alert, continue briefly. Forcing a break after a set time helps prevent the kind of extended, unplanned gaming that tends to lead to decisions you regret later.

Active from the moment you confirm the setting.

Reality check reminders

Enable periodic on-screen reminders that show how long you have been playing in your current session and how much you have deposited and wagered. These pop up at intervals you set — every 30 minutes, every hour or at another interval that suits you. The purpose is simple: keeping you aware of where you are at so gaming stays a conscious choice.

Choose your reminder interval in account settings.

Cool-off period

A cool-off temporarily suspends your jlvv account — you cannot log in, deposit or place bets during the period. Options include 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 30 days or a custom duration. Your account balance is preserved and you can withdraw funds already in your account through support during the cool-off. A cool-off is useful when you want a short break without committing to permanent exclusion.

Cannot be reversed once activated during the period.

Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion closes your jlvv account for a defined minimum period — six months, one year or permanently. During self-exclusion, login, deposits and betting are blocked. Promotional communications are stopped. jlvv processes self-exclusion requests as a priority and they cannot be reversed within the exclusion window, even if you change your mind. This is the most serious tool and the one jlvv recommends if you feel your gaming is out of control.

Contact support@jlvv.click to activate.

Loss limits

Set a maximum net loss amount per day, week or month. When your losses in the relevant period reach the limit you have set, jlvv will prevent further betting until the period resets. Loss limits work on top of deposit limits — you can run both simultaneously. Setting a loss limit alongside a deposit limit gives you the most complete financial control over your jlvv activity.

Calculated on net losses — withdrawals offset the total.
How to use the tools

Setting up responsible gaming controls on jlvv

You do not need to call anyone or fill out a long form. Here is how to activate any of the tools above in four straightforward steps.

1

Log in to your jlvv account

Go to jlvv.click and log in using your registered email and password. If you have forgotten your details, use the account recovery option on the login page.

2

Go to account settings

From your account dashboard, open the settings menu. Navigate to the Responsible Gaming section — it is listed clearly and does not require multiple clicks to find.

3

Choose and configure your tool

Select the tool you want — deposit limit, session timer, cool-off or self-exclusion — and enter the values that suit your situation. The interface shows your current settings for reference.

4

Confirm and it takes effect

Confirm your selection. Restrictions apply immediately. For self-exclusion requests or if you encounter any difficulty, email support@jlvv.click — our team will process the request as a priority.

Need help activating a tool? If you cannot access your account settings for any reason, contact support@jlvv.click with the subject line "Responsible Gaming Tool Request" and specify which tool you need. jlvv will apply the restriction manually and confirm within one business day.

Know your limits

What responsible gaming actually looks like in practice

Responsible gaming is not about playing less — it is about playing with intention. A player who deposits a fixed amount each week, sticks to games they understand, stops when the budget runs out and keeps gaming separate from their everyday expenses is playing responsibly, regardless of how often they play.

The habits that tend to lead to problems are specific and recognisable. Chasing losses — depositing more after a losing streak to try to recover — is the single most common pathway from recreational gambling to problematic gambling. Other patterns to watch for in your own behaviour include:

  • Playing for longer than you planned and regularly
  • Increasing deposit amounts to maintain the same level of excitement
  • Hiding gaming activity or spending from family members
  • Using gaming as the main way to deal with stress, boredom or difficult emotions
  • Feeling anxious, irritable or guilty after a gaming session
  • Borrowing money to fund gaming, or using funds set aside for other purposes

Recognising one of these patterns in yourself is not a reason to feel ashamed — it is the first useful step. jlvv's tools are there precisely for this moment.

Warning signs

Signs that gaming may have become a problem

These are the patterns jlvv's responsible gaming framework is built around. If several of these describe your current situation, please use the self-exclusion tool or reach out for support.

1

Chasing losses persistently

Depositing more after a loss specifically to recover what you lost, rather than because you genuinely want to continue playing for entertainment.

2

Spending beyond your means

Depositing money that was intended for rent, utilities, groceries, loan repayments or other essential household expenses.

3

Concealing activity from others

Actively hiding your gaming activity, deposit amounts or session duration from a partner, family member or someone close to you.

4

Escalating to maintain the feeling

Needing to bet larger amounts or play more frequently than before to get the same level of enjoyment or excitement from gaming.

5

Gaming to escape problems

Using gaming primarily as a way to avoid thinking about stress, relationship difficulties, financial pressure or emotional distress rather than as entertainment.

6

Inability to stop when you plan to

Regularly playing for longer than you intended to and finding it genuinely difficult to stop a session even when you want to.

Self-check

A quick self-check — answer honestly

This is not a diagnostic tool. It is a prompt to help you reflect. If you find yourself answering "yes" to several of these, the responsible gaming tools on your jlvv account are a good place to start.

  • Have you ever deposited more than you originally planned to in a single session?
  • Have you ever tried to win back money you had already lost?
  • Has gaming ever caused you to be late on a bill or payment?
  • Have you ever felt the need to be secretive about how much time or money you spend on gaming?
  • Have family members or close friends expressed concern about your gaming activity?
  • Do you find it difficult to enjoy gaming without also betting money, even when you intended to just watch or follow sport?
  • Have you ever borrowed money specifically to fund gaming?
  • Do you feel restless, irritable or anxious when you are unable to play?
If you answered yes to two or more: Consider setting a deposit limit, activating a cool-off period or contacting jlvv support at support@jlvv.click to discuss your options. You do not need to wait until things feel serious — the tools work best when used early.

Protecting others

What to do if someone close to you has a gambling problem

Problem gambling does not only affect the person playing. It affects partners, parents, children, siblings and friends. If you are concerned about someone else's gaming activity, the most important thing is to have a calm, non-confrontational conversation rather than an accusation. Shame rarely helps and often makes the problem harder to address.

Practical steps if you are worried about a family member or someone close to you:

  • Express concern about specific behaviours you have observed, rather than making general accusations.
  • Offer to accompany them in contacting a support service — doing it together lowers the barrier.
  • Avoid covering their gambling debts repeatedly — this can enable continued problematic behaviour rather than addressing it.
  • Take care of your own welfare too — supporting someone through a gambling problem is genuinely stressful.
  • If the person is a jlvv account holder, encourage them to use the self-exclusion tool or contact support@jlvv.click directly.
Third-party self-exclusion requests: In certain circumstances, jlvv may be able to assist with a third-party concern about an account holder. Contact support@jlvv.click with details and the team will advise on what is possible while respecting the account holder's data privacy rights.

Common questions

Responsible gaming questions — answered plainly

No. Setting a deposit limit only restricts future deposits above the limit — it does not affect your current balance, any pending withdrawals or bets already placed. Your existing real money balance remains fully available for play or withdrawal. The limit only applies to new deposit transactions from the moment it is activated.
